Emerging Tech Engineer / Software Engineer - (Applied Innovation Tech Area) - Permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 pa (DOE) + Benefits, pension up to 6% contributory, Health Insurance, Life assurance etc.

The Client:
Our client a leader in Applied Innovation Technology are looking for an Emerging Technology Engineer who possesses infinite curiosity to work with their UK team in their innovation exchange in the heart of London. You'll be part of a small team of innovative, leading edge technologists and disruptors, who love to solve tough problems and meet real customer needs.
You will have a passion for innovation and emerging technology and embrace working with new ideas and methods. An understanding of emerging technologies such as Artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) or Immersive Tech, any hands-on expertise of developing with Python or similar languages and integrating these technologies to digital solutions is highly desirable.
You will be comfortable working in an ambitious, start-up style culture where you will play a part in the future strategy and growth.
The Role:
Your primary role will be to work with their team, clients and partners to create new products, services and systems to drive meaningful change. As an Emerging Technologist, you will craft digital solutions for their clients and have a strong track record of doing so in a similar role. You will work alongside clients, account execs, innovation strategists, engineers and product managers to ideate, experiment, and build rapid proof of values and innovations for a range of clients leveraging the latest in technology.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a similar Emerging Tech, Software Engineering or Innovation role
- Creating and building solutions in a digital, cloud native way, working with cloud native platforms (e.g. AWS, Google, Azure) and SaaS solutions
- Experience with full-stack JavaScript or JAMstack applications using technologies such as NodeJS, ReactJS, NextJS, Web Components
- An understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT or Immersive - any hands-on expertise of developing (e.g. with Python) or integrating these technologies to digital solutions is a plus
- A passion for new technologies and an awareness of new technology trends, with a desire to experiment and learn - turning trends into reality - is an absolute must for this role
- A bias for action, creating proof points based on tangible experiments, prototypes or solutions
